Child Safety Standards
How Whispr prohibits and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Effective 17 October 2026
If a child is in immediate danger
Contact your local emergency services or police first. Then report the content or account to us as described below, so we can remove it and preserve evidence.
1.Our standard: zero tolerance
Whispr has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We do not allow it in any chat, group, channel, profile, bot or mini app, and we act on it as soon as we learn of it, whether through a report or otherwise.
These standards are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them ends your access to Whispr and is reported to the authorities.
2.What is prohibited
On Whispr you must not create, share, request, store or link to:
- any image, video, audio, text, drawing or AI-generated content that sexualises a minor or depicts the sexual abuse of a child;
- grooming: contacting or befriending a minor in order to sexually abuse or exploit them, online or offline;
- sextortion: threatening to share intimate images of a minor, or coercing a minor into producing them;
- content that promotes, normalises or gives instructions for child sexual abuse, or that advertises or solicits children for sex;
- trafficking or any commercial sexual exploitation of children;
- attempts to find, trade or distribute CSAM, including through links, groups, channels, bots or mini apps.
A "minor" or "child" means anyone under 18.
3.Who can use Whispr
Whispr is for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it. The service is not directed to children. Accounts are created by service administrators rather than through public sign-up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
4.How to report
You can report child sexual abuse or exploitation to us in two ways:
- In the app: use the in-app Report option on the message, user, group, channel, bot or mini app concerned and choose the reason that fits. Reports go to our review queue.
- By email: write to support@techversed.team. Include the username, group or channel name and what you saw. Please do not attach or forward the abusive material itself: describe it, and we will find it.
You can also report directly to the authorities, whether or not you report to us:
- the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline: report.cybertip.org;
- your national hotline, listed by the INHOPE network: inhope.org;
- your local police.
5.How we handle reports and CSAM
When we receive a report of child sexual abuse or exploitation, or otherwise become aware of it, we:
- Review it promptly. Whispr messages are not end-to-end encrypted, so our administrators can review the reported content directly.
- Remove it from the service and stop it being shared further.
- Disable the accounts responsible, so they can no longer use Whispr.
- Preserve evidence: we keep the content and the related account information secured, with access restricted, for the period the law requires, so it can be given to law enforcement.
- Report it: we report apparent CSAM to NCMEC or to the relevant regional authority or law enforcement agency, as applicable law requires.
We do not tell the reported user who reported them, and we may not notify them of our action where that could put a child at risk or compromise an investigation.
6.Law enforcement and the law
We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including obligations to report and preserve CSAM, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations into child sexual abuse and exploitation. We respond to valid legal requests and may share information with the authorities without a request where a child's safety is at risk.
7.Child safety point of contact
Techversed's designated child safety point of contact can be reached at support@techversed.team. This contact receives reports, answers questions about these standards, and can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and compliance, including for regulators and Google Play.
